Barcelona promotes itself in Hong Kong as the European entrance for air cargo

Success in the BARDC participation in the Hong Kong seminar.

The Cargo Seminar organized by the BARDC, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and Clasa, with the special collaboration of Cargolux was held during the 12th of October in Hong Kong. More than 60 representatives of the Hong Kong cargo community were present at the seminar.

The seminar offered a series of presentations with the aim of showing the potential of Barcelona and Catalonia as possible business destinations. Important figures of the Catalan government and the business and cargo areas present during the seminar.

This seminar helped the Hong Kong cargo community to get an overview of the potential of Catalonia and Barcelona as gateways to Europe.

The seminar finished with a business lunch sponsored by Cargolux. It was designed to encourage the professional contact between the assisting people, and the sharing of ideas.

Taking advantage of this seminar, the cargo airline Cargolux announced an increase in its presence in Barcelona’s Airport, with an increase of its weekly frequencies in the Barcelona – Hong Kong route from two to three. The route will be covered by a Boeing 747, that will only stop at Cargolux’s hub in Luxemburg in its return trip.
