The SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) company, of the Star Alliance reinforces its Barcelona – Sweden connections

Barcelona – Gothenburg and Barcelona – Stockholm will join the SAS route network from this fall onwards.

The new Barcelona – Gothenburg route will start operating on the 2nd of November, offering 2 weekly services (Friday morning and Sunday afternoon). Those will be the 2 only direct flights connecting Barcelona with the second city of Sweden.

The second novelty, the Barcelona – Stockholm route will start operating on the 25th of October. It will be operated twice per week as well, on Thursday at noon and Sunday afternoon. Adding to the current codeshare agreement between SAS and Spanair, this will increase the overall number of flights between the two cities to 9 weekly services. The increase will give a response to the increase of demand in the route.

The capacity of the planes being used is 150 seats for the MD80 covering the Barcelona – Gothenburg route and 186 for the Boeing 767 flying the Barcelona – Stockholm route.
